Alan Lescht and Associates, P.C. is looking to hire an Employment Litigation Attorney with 4-8 years of employment law and/or litigation experience.

Our attorneys practice in state and federal courts in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia, as well as before federal administrative agencies such as the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Office of Special Counsel, and before arbitration tribunals including AAA and JAMS. We handle a wide variety of employment-related cases including, but not limited to:
- Workplace discrimination and retaliation
- Wrongful termination

What we are looking for:
- 4-8 years of employment law and/or litigation experience with a demonstrated interest in civil rights issues
- Experience and interest in supervising junior attorneys preferred
- Eager to join a dynamic, collaborative, and inclusive team
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Capable of independently handling every aspect of plaintiff-side employment litigation and balancing multiple responsibilities at once
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Outstanding communication skills for both teamwork and client-facing duties
- JD from an accredited ABA law school; strong academic background highly valued
- Admitted to practice law in DC, MD, and/or VA
Requirements:
Attorneys have an expectation to perform a minimum of 35 billable hours per week and to work in-office at least two days per week. Each attorney handles multiple cases at once, both independently and in collaboration with other attorneys and/or support staff, and is responsible for managing their own deadlines. Senior attorneys are expected to supervise more junior attorneys, accounting for about half of their cases.
